Ellman Radiofrequency
Pearly penile papules (PPP) are small, harmless skin-coloured or white bumps that typically appear around the corona (ridge) of the glans penis. They commonly appear in one or several rows and are considered a normal anatomical variation.
Many men first notice PPP and mistake them for a sexually transmitted infection or skin disease. A consultation allows Dr Van to confirm the diagnosis and discuss whether treatment is appropriate.
This information is general in nature. Individual outcomes vary. A consultation is required to assess suitability.
Important: PPP are benign and treatment is not medically necessary. Treatment is elective. A consultation allows for accurate assessment and discussion of realistic expectations.
Treatment
PPP do not require treatment from a medical perspective. However, where treatment is requested, Dr Van may use the Ellman radiofrequency device, which uses high-frequency radio waves to precisely target the lesions while minimising damage to surrounding tissue.
Treatment is tailored to your situation
While treatment may improve appearance, recurrence can occur over time. All risks are discussed at consultation.
Dr Van assesses your condition, confirms the diagnosis, and discusses whether treatment is appropriate for your situation.
Performed under local anaesthetic or numbing cream. Typically 15 to 30 minutes as an outpatient procedure.
You return home the same day with written aftercare instructions.
Recovery timeframes are general estimates only. Your doctor will provide personalised guidance.
