Ellman Radiofrequency
Fordyce spots are small, harmless sebaceous (oil) glands that can appear on the shaft of the penis, lips, or genital region. They are a common and completely benign condition, often appearing as small pale, white, cream, or yellowish bumps beneath the skin.
Many men become concerned when they first notice Fordyce spots, as they can be mistaken for other skin conditions. A consultation allows Dr Van to assess your condition and confirm the diagnosis.
This information is general in nature and does not constitute medical advice. Individual outcomes vary. A consultation is required to assess suitability.
Important: Fordyce spots are benign. Treatment is elective. A consultation allows for accurate assessment and discussion of realistic expectations before any treatment is considered.
Treatment
Most Fordyce spots do not require treatment. However, where treatment is requested, Dr Van may use the Ellman radiofrequency device, which uses high-frequency radio waves to precisely target the lesions while minimising damage to surrounding tissue.
While treatment may improve appearance, recurrence can occur over time. All risks are discussed at consultation.
Dr Van assesses your condition, confirms the diagnosis, and discusses whether treatment is appropriate.
Performed under local anaesthetic or numbing cream. Typically 15 to 30 minutes as an outpatient procedure.
You return home the same day with written aftercare instructions.
Recovery timeframes are general estimates only. Your doctor will provide personalised guidance.
